For three thousand years, if you wanted into the subcontinent, you needed the Bolan. Alexander's generals knew it. The Mughal cavalry knew it. The British spent a decade and an entire railway engineering corps just to draw a line through it — 87 miles of gorge, river, cliff face, and gradient that broke equipment, exhausted men, and still came out the other side looking like this.
